![]() Grave of Percy Stevens Colonel Ellis and Captain Rulon decorate the grave of Percy Stevens in the Brookwood American Cemetery, near London. Stevens was lost when his troopship was torpedoed by a German U-Boat in 1918. The War Department planned and conducted the pilgrimages, and Army officers served as tour guides, baggage handlers, and nurses.
