This week in Quartermaster History
The Army's Quartermaster Corps organized and conducted the Gold Star Mothers pilgrimages, and it remains proud of its role today.

Quartermaster Review
Here is a pair of articles from the Quartermaster Review, a professional journal for Army Quartermaster Corp members. The first article "The War Mother Goes 'Over There'" is from the May-June, 1930 issue. The second one is "Mothers and Wives of Nebraska to Make First Voyage to France" from March-April, 1930. A letter from a satisfied Gold Star pilgrim follows these two articles. The woman is very grateful for her experience, and it is clear the pilgrimages were a life-changing episode for most of the pilgrims who went.
